Brandon and I went to our first pregnancy doctor’s appointment today. I was a little nervous going in – I had no idea of what to expect. I knew there was a chance that we’d be able to hear the heartbeat, but I wasn’t really counting on it, because I didn’t think I was far enough along.
For the best I could tell, I figured I was at about 8 weeks. Turns out, it’s more like 11 weeks … so we were able to hear the heart beat! It was amazing, so fast and strong!
According to the nurse mid-wife’s best calculations, the due date is February 5th.
That is Daniel’s birthday! How exciting!!! The first time of hearing the heartbeat is so special. I think that was the first moment it became “real” to me that we were going to have a baby.
